Historic sites and buildings of Essex Essex abounds with sites of historical interest. It is fortunate to have retained
a wealth of buildings from all periods of history, despite continued urban development. I decided that there was no point in me 'reinventing the wheel' when there are some fabulous websites already out there, made by people who really know their stuff.
