The name Essex originates from "The Land of the East Saxons".

Longest Coast - 350 miles of coastline - the longest in Britain. Fact confirmed by the Essex Police Marine Unit.

A national newspaper undertook an extensive survey in 2008 that highlighted the Essex district of Uttlesford as “the most desirable place to live in the UK".
